Antonio Tyrone Sessions, affectionately known as Tonio, was born in Dallas County, Texas, on December 3rd, 1978 to Anthony Tyrane Clark and Kim Sessions. He passed away in Paris, Texas, on March 8th, 2024.
Tonio had a vibrant personality and was a joy to be around, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He graduated from Quitman High School in 1997, where he showcased his exceptional athletic talents by excelling in football, track, and basketball.
In addition to his athletic achievements, Tonio had a deep passion for cooking. He was appointed head of the kitchen at Muddy Creek Baptist Church, where he poured his heart into preparing meals for the congregation. His dedication to his church extended to his love for worshiping and finding comfort in the Word of God. He joined Muddy Creek Baptist Church at a young age and rededicated his life to God on December 21, 2008.
Family held a special place in Tonio's heart, and he cherished moments spent with loved ones. Gathering with family and friends brought him immense joy, as he enjoyed recounting shared memories and creating new ones together. Apart from family gatherings, Tonio found peace and enjoyment in fishing.
Antonio will be remembered by the legacy that he leaves behind—a legacy of love, warmth, and unwavering dedication to those closest to him. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished him.
Antonio is preceded in death by his dad, Wayland Floyd Sessions Jr.; grandfather, Wayland Sessions Sr.; grandfather, Jessie Clay; uncles, Leland Sessions and Lonnie Clay; and grandmother, Ruby Doris Hooper.
Antonio will be deeply missed by his surviving family members and friends. Survivors include his mother, Kim Sessions of Quitman; father, Anthony T. Clark of Dallas; the love of his life, Tracy Marie Sessions; two children, Jaden King of Caddo Mills, and Malaysia Lankford of Tyler; brother, Alexander Sessions and wife Sonia of San Diego, CA; sister, Arielle Hawkins and husband Demetric of Quitman; grandmother, Betty Jo Sessions of Quitman; aunt, Belinda Sessions of Quitman; aunts, Linnie Hodge, Jessie O. Clay, Ruby Shannon, and Sherry Brock, all of Garland; uncles, Homer Clay, Benny Clay, Kippy Clay, Kevin Hooper, and Stephen Hooper; one niece, Pheobe Sessions of San Diego, CA; two nephews, Aliyas Sessions of Austin, and Preston McDonald of Quitman; and his in-laws, Buster and Kathy Smith of Caddo Mills; children that held a special place in his heart, Maurion Ross Lankford and Maliah Renee Lankford; and a host of of extended family members and countless friends.
Rozman Shannon, Corwin Coffey, Christopher McKnight, Byron Clay, Kevin Hooper, Stephen Hooper, Kenzie Foley, Ramon Stewart, Charles Foley, and William Duke will serve as pallbearers.
Funeral service for Antonio Sessions will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Muddy Creek Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest following the service at Muddy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00 PM Friday evening, March 29th, at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations.
