Billy Ray Mallett

Billy Ray Mallett, 70, of Quitman, passed away December 19, 2016 at his home.

Billy Ray Mallett was born in Terrell on November 17, 1946 to Ward and Maybe(Turner) Mallett. He grew up in Terrell, graduating from Terrell High school, and later became a Buck Sargent in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam era. He worked in law enforcement as a reserve officer for Kaufman and Wood County Sheriff’s Office and was the owner/operater of Terrell Printing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Mallett of Quitman; son, Troy Mallett of Santa Fe, New Mexico; daughter, Catrena Mallett of Edgewood; and five grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Mallett are to be scheduled at a later date.
