Memorial service for Blake Eugene Kral, 71, of Quitman, is scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, October 12, 2018 at Cartwright Baptist Church with Pastor Cody Mize, Pastor Tom Ruane, and Pastor Brad Brock officiating.

Blake Eugene Kral was born March 4, 1947 in Huntsville, Alabama to William James and Betty (Hendry) Kral. Blake received his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University. During his years at Auburn, he enjoyed Saddle Bronc Riding in rodeos. After college, he studied many years to become a master saddler. Blake was an intelligent man and had a great deal of knowledge in the equine industry. He also was an avid train lover and would often pull over just to watch the trains go by.

On August 4, 2001, he married Ruth Robbins. Blake and Ruth lived in the Bryan and College Station area from 2004 to 2015, before moving to Quitman. He was a resident of Ocala, Florida prior to moving to Texas in 2004.

He was a Mason and a member of Cartwright Baptist Church.

Blake passed away Tuesday morning, October 2, 2018 in Tyler.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 17 years, Ruth Kral of Quitman; step daughter, Melanie Ruth Robbins of Gainesville, FL; step son, John Aaron Stuckey of Trenton, FL; and six grandchildren.
