Burl Isaac Grider

Funeral services for Burl Isaac Grider, 88, Quitman are scheduled for 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2013, Lowe Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes with Dr. Dick White officiating. Burial will follow in the Quitman City Cemetery. Burl passed away December 28, 2012 in Tyler, He was born July 22, 1924 in Iving, TX to Everett Bruce and Thelma Jewel Grider.He moved to Quitman in 1963 from Irving and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Quitman, served in the U. S. Army Air Corp. WWII and was an Electrician. Burl is preceded in death by his wife Jeannie Kathleen in 1999. He is survived by 3 sons; Bruce Grider, Gus Grider, and Walter Grider of Quitman, 1 daughter, Jody Hisaka, Honolulu, HI, 1 brother, Lloyd Grider, Winnsboro, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
