A memorial celebration honoring the life and service of Carlton Lee Clark, will be held at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations on May 30, 2024, at 2:00 pm, the family will receive friends beginning one hour before service.

Lee was born on January 24, 1940, in Kaufman, TX, to Claud C., and Virginia Aline (Spray) Clark. Lee joined the United States Marine Corps in 1958, he became a member of Company A, First Recon Battalion, in the First Marine Division in the Fleet Marine Force, where he finished his enlistment in 1963. Lee joined the Irving Fire Department as a Firefighter in April of 1966. He was a member of the inaugural class of Irving Fire Departments Paramedic school becoming one of Irving Fires original Firefighter/Paramedics. After a twenty-three-year career with Irving FD, Lee obtained his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Texas at Arlington. He began his teaching career in the Irving ISD, special education department and later taught briefly at the Grand Saline ISD in Northeast Texas near the area he retired to.

Lee married Diane Hernandez on June 30, 1990, in Floresville, Texas. Lee and Diane travel all over the world, saw things most people only dream of.  They enjoyed all the communities their careers took them to, having lived in Irving, Bedford, the Silver Lake Community and most recently, their beautiful homeplace in Hawkins, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Diane H. Clark of Hawkins, TX., his daughter, Marlee S. Clark of Irving, Tx., and his brother, Ronald Clark, of Winnsboro, Tx. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Carolyn Joyce Violet.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to the SPCA, Special Olympics, or your favorite Veteran organization, a cause close to Lee's heart.
