Carolyn “Lynn” Kay Burks-Lee, a wife, mother, daughter, and sister, left this world unexpectedly on April 3, 2024. A cherished wife to Isaiah Lee, beloved mother to Opal, and adored daughter to William and Suzann Burks, Lynn's passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Lynn was born in Greenville, Texas on July 30, 2001. She was a beautiful girl, inside and out, from the day she was born until the day she passed. From her vibrant personality to her boundless joy for life, Lynn’s spirit will forever be remembered by those she touched. She was just beginning her journey as a wife and mother, with a newfound sense of happiness and excitement for the future. Lynn resided in Quitman, where she started a new chapter of her life with her sweetheart, Isaiah Lee, whom she married on May 15, 2023. The birth of her precious daughter, Opal, on January 3, 2024, brought even more joy and love into her life. Additionally, she had just started her new job and had a new car, so her life truly was just beginning.
Her passing is a reminder of life's fragility and the profound impact that one soul can have on those around them. The memory of Lynn’s infectious laughter, warm spirit, and glowing character will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Lynn is preceded in death by her PawPaw, J.C. Lilly.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Isaiah Lee of Quitman; daughter, Opal Jade Lee of Quitman; parents, William “Bill” and Suzann Burks of Quitman; siblings, Koby Ethan Burks and wife Gigi of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Alyssa Jane Hadley and husband Thomas of Overton, TX; nieces, Lyanna Skyler Burks and Audrey Burks; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Heidi Lee of Quitman; and many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations with Brother Fred Morrow officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening, April 10, 2024 at the funeral home.
Friends and loved ones are invited to come together to share stories and memories of Lynn. In light of her joyful spirit and love for life, the service will be a celebration of her time on Earth and the impact she had on those around her.
In these moments of grief, let us find solace in the cherished memories we hold close to our hearts. Lynn will forever be remembered and have an everlasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest peacefully.
