Clyde Ray "Cricket" Hervey

Clyde Ray “Cricket” Hervey was born January 15, 1950 to Mr. Turner Hervey and Mrs. Imogene Ellis Hervey, who preceded him in death.

Clyde was a unique and different kind of guy, but once you got to know him he was fun to be around. Clyde accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church, where he was an ordained Deacon.

He obtained his education at W.B. Clark School and Quitman High School.  He was a very industrial person.  He helped build Lake Fork where he drove a D9 Caterpillar Machine.  He worked for Sanders Dairy and also worked for Tyler Pipe Refinery.  Clyde, “Cricket”, loved to fish and hunt.

He met the love of his life and married Doris Marie in 1977. They were married for 48 wonderful years.

To this union one child was born, Robert Choo Choo (LaTray), which he leaves to cherish his memory and love.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his wife Doris Marie Hervey; one step-daughter, Tonja Otusi; one step-son, Tory (Angelia); grandson, Ryan Otusi; three granddaughters, Cierra, Chekeri, and Lashella Sanders (Darell); two more grandsons, Marco of Washington D.C., and Little Aaron Jr. of Dallas; one brother, Phillip Washington; and one sister, Baby Nell; one devoted brother-in-law, Tracoma Willis (Ladana); and five cousins, Earnestine, Vickey, Dorothy Mae, Leora, and Randy Ellis; and a host of other family members and many friends

We loved him but God loved him best.

We are going to miss you, Cricket.
