David Smith

David Vernon Smith, 69, of Mineola, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home in Quitman from 6:00PM to 8:00PM; with a service the following day on Thursday, March 18, 2021 starting at 2:00PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. David was born in Brownfield, Texas on October 12, 1951 to parents Jack and Mary Smith. He married Diane Smith on June 2, 2000 in Wood County, Texas. David had a very jovial and down to earth personality. Everyone enjoyed seeing him at the Texaco in Quitman while he was working.  David is survived by his wife, Diane Smith of Mineola, Texas; his daughter, Brittnie Smith of Forney, Texas; Sisters, Kelly Baisden and Becky Reed of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Stepdad Tommy Baisden of Sulphur Springs; 7 grandchildren, Mason, Nathan, Kaiden, Jonathan, Kaitlin, Jack, and Hayden; 1 great-grand child, Bradley; niece Amanda; great nephew, Jackson; nephews, Howard, James, Christopher, and Jonathan; and many other family members and friends that he made throughout his lifetime.
