A Graveside service honoring David William Wylie, age 79, of Winnsboro, will be held on Sunday, February 23rd at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Winnsboro, Texas at 2:00 PM. 

David was born December 5, 1945, in Richland Center, Wisconsin to William Oliver and Mary Catherine (Turner) Wylie. David obtained a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Wisconsin and then enlisted as a medic in the US Air Force and held rank of Sergeant E-4. After proudly serving his country, he held a variety of positions in research labs, security guard and was employed by WISD after moving with family from Wisconsin to Winnsboro in 1985. He was a lifelong member of Tinney Chapel United Methodist Church, where he met and married the love of his life Angela Newton Wylie in 2002. 

He was preceded in death by his mother and father William and Mary Wylie and wife Angela Newton Wylie. Surviving family includes his brother, James Earl Wylie of Whitehouse, Texas: Stepchildren, Travessa Tinney Newsome; Kevin Tinney and his wife Ashley, Shelley Hodges and husband David; Nieces and Nephews, Jared Wylie, Rebekah and her husband Andy Christopher, Rachel and her husband Jay Boyd, Jessica Woodfin and Christa Castillo.
