Dolores J. Kennemer

Dolores J. Kennemer, 91, was called to her eternal resting place on January 27, 2024. She entered this world on July 23, 1932, in Wood County, Texas, born to William “Vernon” and Beulah Rogers.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Beulah Rogers, husband, Jesse Darnell Kennemer, brother, Charles Rogers, sisters, Madelyn Blayney and Nell Crabtree, daughter, Linda Gail Mead, son, Kevin Rogers Kennemer, infant son, Michael Ray Kennemer and grandson, Brett Alan Kennemer.

Dolores was an active volunteer during her children’s school years, serving as PTA president on several occasions. While primarily a homemaker, she worked part-time for a number of years as a receptionist for Dr. Ron Daniels in Quitman. She was an avid basketball fan and rarely missed the opportunity to watch and cheer on her Mavs. She liked nothing better than sitting out on the back porch of her childhood home every morning with a cup of coffee and loved spending time with her family. She leaves behind her son, Joel Kennemer, of Irving, daughter, Aimee Camargo, of McKinney, and her 10 grandchildren, Stacey Mead, Kacy Mead, Dustin Mead, Chad Kennemer, Colby Kennemer, Kaylin Davidson, Brenna Russell, Morgan Sappelt, Blair Camargo and Bennett Camargo, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be held on February 1 at 1:00pm at the Rock Hill Cemetery in Wood County with Brother Fred Morrow officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, January 31 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations.
