Doris Canaday

Doris Jean Canaday,69, of Quitman, Texas passed away with her family by her side on July 16, 2021.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021, from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Lowe-Gardner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 19, 2021, 10:00AM at Lowe-Gardner Funeral Home.

Doris was born on December 9, 1951, to parents W.E and Lodema (Busby) Cox in Winnsboro, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Doris worked as LVN for Dr. Waddleton, and she and her husband Jimmy owned a dairy farm. She was an avid member of the Lake Fork Baptist Church and loved Christ. She loved spending time hanging out with her family, especially loving on her grandchildren who called her Mimi.

She is preceded by her parents; and her husband Jimmy Don Canaday.

Doris is survived by sons, Robby (Jen) Huddleston, Justin (wife D’Anne) Canaday; daughter, Robin Huddleston; brother, Johnny Cox; sisters, Glenda Amason, Wanda Carpenter, Vickie Brummit, and Lisa Walker; grandchildren, Ryan and Summer Reyes, Sammye Huddleston, Breezye Huddleston, Roper Huddleston, Koda Huddleston, River Canaday, Colton Canaday, Kinslye Canaday; great grandchildren, Luke, Chase, Braxton, Memphis, Maverick, Brooklei; and many other family members and friends who love her dearly.
