Dorothy Ann Goodson

Dorothy Ann Goodson, 83, of Quitman, passed away on January 6, 2025 in Alba. She was born on July 3, 1941, in Comanche County, Oklahoma, to John Justice Black and Grace (Richardson) Black.

Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked as a store manager for Kroger for many years, where she made lasting contributions to the company and its community. She will be remembered for her dedication, hard work, and loving spirit.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Goodson; son, Patrick Edwards; parents, John Justice and Grace Black; two brothers Donald Black and Jimmy Black, and one sister Betty Robinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Kevin Edwards and wife Suzanne, and John Goodson and wife Kelli; three daughters, Sonya Kuhn and husband Douglas, Lisa Toran and husband Milton, and Tracy Kruse and husband Jodie; sister, Linda Chestnut and husband Ken; 17 grandchildren, Jamie, Justin, Christian, Victoria, Bandon, Jeremy, Vivian, Hailey, Rusty, Kelsey, Tanner, Jonathan, Robyn, Junior, Sabrina, Courtney, and Kassidy; 14 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Memorial services for Dorothy Goodson will be held at 12:00PM Friday, January 17, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church.
