Funeral services for Imogene Glenn, 89, Yantis are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2013, First Baptist Church Yantis with Reverend Jeremy Durig and Tony Gilbreath officating. Burial will follow in the Yantis City Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday evening, Dec. 3rd at Lowe Funeral Home. She was born July 26, 1924 in Rock Hill (Wood County) to Hudie and Hattie McAnally Morgan. She was a teacher and taught in Yantis ISD for 53 years. Imogene lived in Wood County all of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Yantis. She retired in 2000 after teaching a total of 58 years, she also volunteered at the Imogene Glenn Elementery School in Yantis since retirement. She taught Sunday School in Yantis over 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 Brothers and 1 Sister, and her husband, Arnold Glenn in 2005. She and Arnold were married August 27, 1947.
She is survived by 2 Sons: Brent Glenn and his wife Diane, Yantis, Tx. and Layne Glenn, Ft. Worth, Tx.; 2 grandchildren, Ryan and wife Catie Glenn and Colton Glenn and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the First Baptist Church Yantis or to the Yantis City Cemetery.
