James David Roberts

James David Roberts, 73 of Mineola, passed away on March 31^st, 2023.

James was born on October 25, 1949 in Winnsboro, Texas to the late J.D. and Juanita Roberts. In 1969, after graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country proudly. Later, he went on to repair appliances. On October 27, 1993, James married Mary Sue in Smith County. He was a member of Freedom Church of God in Emory, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Sue Roberts; his parents J.D. and Juanita Roberts; and his sister, Linda Sharp.

He is survived by his siblings, Pam Crump and husband Willie of Alba, Judy Reyes and husband Vince of Winnsboro, Marsha Biggs of Mineola, and Charles Roberts of Quitman and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for James Roberts is scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, April 6^th at Lowe-Gardner Funerals and Cremations in Quitman with Pastor David Hamm officiating.
