Johnie Glyn Peoples

Glyn Peoples, age 93, of Holly Lake Ranch, passed away on March 4, 2025.

Glyn was born on April 30, 1931. Glyn spent most of his life in the Dallas area working for Braniff Airlines as a mechanic for 47 years, which probably led to how meticulous he was. He always strived for perfection. After retirement he and Charlene moved to Holly Lake Ranch where he fell in love with the game of golf. He played every day, many days playing 36 holes. He became quite skilled, even hitting a hole in one.

He did not live close to his grandchildren or great-grandchildren, but loved their phone calls, pictures, and videos. He loved his church and Pastor Mike, who called him Uncle Glyn. He was probably the oldest member! When he could no longer attend due to health reasons, he loved hearing about the colorful message Mike always preached. His faith in God became very strong, from his love of the church. Even though he will be solely missed, we know where he is, no doubt in the arms of our Lord and Savior. We love you, Glyn.

Glyn is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Glyn Peoples Jr., and his daughter, Jan Peoples.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlene Peoples; daughter, Karey Peoples; granddaughter, Christi Colleen Horton and husband Fred; grandson, Christopher Glyn Odell Peoples and wife Julie; four great grandsons, Luke Mason Lemanski, Benjamin Glyn Lemanski, Holton Glyn Peoples, and Hayden Christopher Peoples; one great granddaughter, Jaci Colleen Lemanski; one great-great grandson, Walker Mason Lemanski; and one niece, Brenda Galanger and husband John.

Funeral services to honor the life of Glyn Peoples will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals and Cremations. Immediately following the funeral will be a reception at Spur On Ministries. Graveside service will then follow at 3:00 PM at Wheatland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends during visitation on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
