Judy Ann Pirkle

Judy Ann Pirkle, age 82, beloved wife, mother, and “Granny”, passed away on November 10, 2023, in Tyler. She was born on September 29, 1941, in Decatur, Texas, to Jake and Frances (Harris) Walker.

Judy was the loving wife of Maurice Pirkle.  They married on March 31, 1961, in her father’s home, and together Maurice and Judy shared a beautiful life. Judy was a long-time resident of Quitman, Texas, having lived there since 1980. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to taking care of her family.

In her leisure time, Judy enjoyed vacationing with her family and creating cherished memories. She also took great pride in perfecting her yard and tending to her beautiful flower garden, which brought her immense joy.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Frances Walker; her daughter, Patty; and her brother, Johnny Walker.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Maurice Pirkle of Quitman; her daughter, Pam Sims and husband Myron of Quitman; her son, Maurice “Junior” Pirkle and wife Amy of Quitman; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jared, Donavan, and Emily; one great-granddaughter due in February; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
