Memorial service for Kathleen Greer, 84, of Quitman, is scheduled for 11:30 AM Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Midkiff officiating.

Kathleen Charlotte Greer was born February 13, 1935 in Wisconsin to “Red” Parsons and Pauline Jennings. Her father, Red, was the light of her life. She was a Quitman resident for 8 years, coming from Dallas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishment was her daughter, Kimberley. She put her life on hold to raise her daughter. When her granddaughter, Rhyann was born, her life changed again and flourished being Mimi. They were the best of friends. Kathleen loved helping people in any way she could. She even worked for the Shriners for about 5 years.

Kathleen passed away early Wednesday morning, April 17, 2019 in Tyler.

She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Pauline and Carl Crosby; and father, “Red” Parsons.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Kimberley Marks and husband Robert of Quitman; good friend who was like a daughter, Katherine Papania of Dallas; brother, Gary Crosby; two sisters, Jannis Miller and Sharron Southern; three grandchildren, Rhyann, Trenton, and Gabriel; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
