Kay Frances Cook

Kay Frances Cook (Carrington), of Quitman, Texas, passed away on July 27, 2023, at Tyler, Texas.

Kay was born on February 3, 1947, in Tyler, Texas and on March 26, 1971, married Joseph Cook. She obtained an Associate’s Degree and for 11 years she worked as a secretary/receptionist for the Heritage Nursing Home in Quitman.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Cook Jr. "Joe"; her parents, Garland and Frances (Proctor) Carrington; and her daughter, Lory Ann Cook Myers.

Kay is survived by her son Chris Forrester; grandchildren Trenton Cook, Keeley Myers, Steven Cook and wife Casey, Branden Gamm, Jaycee McCoy, and Kolbee Forrester; great grandchildren Mary Kay Cook; Braydan, Davie Rae and Teagan Gamm; and other family members and friends who will miss her.

A private family memorial service for Kay will be held at a later date. No further details regarding the location, time, and date have been provided at this time.
