Larry Cason

Larry Cason, 71, of Mineola, passed away on January 11, 2025. Larry was born on November 19, 1953, in Glennville, Georgia, to Harry and Redetha (Bath) Cason. After graduating from high school, he pursued a career in the trades, working as a handyman and becoming known for his skill and dedication. He also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Larry was a beloved figure in his neighborhood, affectionately known as “Grandpa.” With his warm smile, captivating stories, and playful spirit, he had a special way of connecting with people of all ages, especially children. He loved to tease and joke with the neighborhood kids, and they adored him in return.

 Always a welcoming presence, Larry could often be found sitting outside, ready with a smile and a wave for anyone who passed by. He left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him, and his kindness, humor, and wisdom will be deeply missed.

 Larry’s legacy of love and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He is preceded by his parents Harry and Redetha (Bath) Cason; siblings Catherine, Jolly, Kyle, James, Robbie Lee, Terry and Dwight. 

Left to cherish his memory are his children Judy Canady, Larry John Cason and wife Winter, Ashley Hall, Amy Hall, Tonia Sikes and Angela Henley; brother Roger Cason and wife Jeanene; sisters Virginia Bragg and husband Jerry and Juanita Williams; grandchildren Seth, Summer, Autumn, Destiny, Haley, Landyn and Larissa; great grandchildren Legion and Azereal; several nieces and nephews; and many other friends who will miss him dearly.
