Martha Jane Slaughter

Martha Jane "Morrow" Slaughter, age 60, of Quitman passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2023. She was born on December 22, 1962, in Quitman to the late Ivan Jan Morrow and Mary Jane Johnson. She was a member of the Pine Street Baptist Church. Her joy was spending time with her family and running her business MoMo's Old & Used in Mineola, where she made numerous friends that she came to love.

She was preceded in death by her daddy Ivan Jan Morrow; her mama Mary Jane Johnson, and her bonus daddy Harold Lee Johnson; brother James Albert Morrow; granddaughter Meladee Renee Slaughter; grandparents Kenneth and Irene Morrow, Virginia Childress, Tom Tice, and Ira and Mary Lou Johnson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include her daughter Christi Lin Crow and son-in-law Paul Scott Crow of Quitman; granddaughters Kellie Renee Myers of Cumby and Brooklin Kate Benso of Quitman; Uncles Fred Morrow of Quitman, Joe Morrow, and Harvy Morrow of Mineola; aunt JoNita Morrow of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous cousins.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 25 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services for Martha will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, September 26 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations with Bro. Fred Morrow and Mike Morrow Conducting with graveside to follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro.
