Marvin Franklin “Frank” Mastin, Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 88. Frank was born on March 22, 1935, in Concordia, Kansas, to the late Marvin Franklin Mastin Sr. and Sophia A. (Koepsel) Mastin, and grew up in Beloit, Kansas.
Frank lived a fulfilling life, leaving a remarkable impact on those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Frank had a successful career as an Aviation Engineer and worked in Marketing Sales. He proudly earned his Aeronautical Engineering degree from Kansas University and later pursued further studies, obtaining his MBA from Harvard University.
Frank’s adventurous spirit led him to various corners of the United States. In 1981, he settled in Tucson, Arizona, where he lived for forty memorable years before relocating to Houston, Texas. In 2021, he made his final move to Quitman, Texas, where he enjoyed the calmness of small-town living. Throughout his life, he remained committed to his faith as a devoted Christian.
Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lowannah Mastin, and both of his parents.
Frank Mastin will be lovingly remembered by his son, John Robert Mastin and wife Karen of Quitman; stepchildren, Karen Bowman of Sugar Land, TX, Diane Dickson of Tucson, AZ, and Patricia Anderson of Tucson, AZ; brother, Ron Mastin of Marietta, GA; sister, Jocile Fulhage of Beloit, KS; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
