Mary Martha West

Mary West age 79, of Mineola, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, in Tyler. She was born March 28, 1943, to Robert Bonsil Dykes and Mary Lorraine Padgett Sullivan in Mineola.

Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mineola and was an active member of her Sunday School Class, she once owned the Diet Center in Mineola, and was also in the local bowling league. She enjoyed reading, dancing, playing card games, along with playing 42 dominos. Her joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, “I love you a bushel and a peck! A bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck.” is what she would always sing to everyone.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Donald West; daughter, Kimberly Lynn West; both of her parents; and her brother, Butch Dykes.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, son, Damon West and his wife Teresa; and daughter, Kristal Farmer; grandchildren, Zachary West and Jazzymn Mahan, Jeremy Dee Farmer, Lauren Brooke Young and Casey Martin; Megan Brooke Young and Kent Burt; and Dalton Keith Young and wife Jordyn; great-grandchildren, Rylee Rae West, Zayden Lee West, Jameson Dee Farmer, and Shyanne Jean Young; sisters, Brenda Tucker, and Cathy Snelling; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends that were more like family.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Roselawn Cemetery in Mineola with Bro. Terry Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be Damon West, Regan Brandon, Zachary West, Jeremy Farmer, Dalton Young, Casey Martin, and Kent Burt.
