Mickey Lynn Pinson, beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, uncle, pastor, and friend to many, opened up his eyes in heaven on October 17, 2024 at his home in Quitman, Texas surrounded by his loving family.
Mickey Pinson was born on June 3, 1946 to Floyd and Ruby (Mills) Pinson in Wood County. He lived a full, abundant life, raised a beautiful family, pastored several churches over the span of 30 years, and worked maintenance at Pro-Tech, from where he retired.
He married Beverly Kay Rogers on October 5, 2001 in DeQueen, Arkansas. They enjoyed 23 years of marriage, traveling to various places, attending concerts, spending time with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and attending their athletic and school events whenever they could.
Mickey was a member of Rockhill Baptist Church in Quitman, where he enjoyed worship and fellowship. In his spare time, one could find him fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending as much time as possible with family. He looked forward to the monthly Pinson family dinners his brother Cecil would coordinate. There was always lively conversation, love, a little teasing, and lots of laughter at those dinners.
Mickey was greeted in heaven by his father Floyd William Pinson, mother Ruby Sueletta Pinson, and sisters Dixie Geneva Todd and Glennis Herren.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife Beverly, children Kimberley Stewart (Don), Brandi Linseisen, Misti Huie (Billy), Stormie Mays, Chuck Mays, and Wayne Mays; brother Cecil Pinson(Jeannette); sisters Carolyn Carr (David) and Kathy Swann (Charles); niece/sister Debra Miears; grandchildren Jordan Alford (Jonathan), Dillon Eudy (Audrey), Lindsay “Lake” Willeford (Megan), Logan Linseisen, Laney Linseisen, Kelsey McMillian (Jake), Kolton Huie (Emily), Payzlee Essl, Braydon Vance, Tommy Strader, Kendall Caldwell (Lex), and Taren Livesay (Lee); and great grandchildren Bennett Alford, Eleanor ”Ellie” Alford, Kara Eudy, Austin Lawson, Lewis Lawson, Brooklyn Jones, Lane Livesay, Parker Mabe, Lily Caldwell, and Kooper Caldwell.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, October 22 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations Chapel with Chad Pinson Officiating.
