It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia “Pattie” Dunham, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and member of the Myrtle Springs Baptist Church community. Pattie, born in Springfield, Tennessee on August 19, 1958 to J.C. Long and Myrtis Childress, peacefully left this world on March 18, 2024 at the age of 65.
Throughout her life, Pattie found joy in her work as a cosmetologist, bringing beauty and confidence to those she served. She was a devoted member of the Myrtle Springs Baptist Church, finding solace and community within its walls. In her free time, she relished in the simple pleasure of scrolling through Facebook and watching TLC, and she cherished every moment spent with her adored grandchildren.
On February 15, 2003, Pattie married the love of her life, Charles Dunham, and together they created a life filled with love and cherished memories.
Pattie greets in Heaven her parents, J.C. Long and Myrtis Childress; and three brothers, Ricky, Bobby, and Jackie.
Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, and kindness. She is survived by her three children, Chris Barrett of Mississippi; Amy Hill and husband Cliff of Winnsboro, and Patricia Reyes and husband Cesar of Horn Lake, Mississippi; 13 grandchildren, Megan, Garrett, Kirstin, Ryan, Clayton, Zoie, Avery, Edson, Caleb, Matthew, Callie, Brody, and Ian; 7 great grandchildren, Easton, Leilani, Liliana, Laela, Jaelyn, Motley, and Emerson; and 3 great grandchildren to be born in June, Ivy Grace, Sterling Colt, and Isabella.
Services to honor the life of Pattie Dunham will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2024 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations with Brother David Cook officiating. She will be laid to rest at Quitman City Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service, beginning at 12:00 PM.
Family and friends are invited to join in remembering a woman whose kindness and love left a lasting mark on all those she encountered. May she rest in peace.
