Ralph Lowell Lacy was born on November 23, 1956, to parents Ralph and Helen Lacy, and went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2021. He lived in Winnsboro with his wife, Rose, where he enjoyed carrying on a family tradition of working on his ranch and raising cattle. He was a hardworking man who loved life, and would work from sun up to sun down and still have time for Rose and his family. He loved baling hay and working with heavy equipment, and used his expertise to make everything beautiful. He had a heart of gold. He always had time for anyone in need and would go out of his way to help. He would stop on the side of the road to help if he saw someone having trouble. He is the reason Rose is living today. Doctors had given up on her and he would not accept that. He helped her fight to overcome and recover from her illness. That’s just the kind of man he was.
He was a loving and giving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves behind many friends and family who will miss his kindness and his love.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ben Lacy.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Rose; his five children, Candice Lacy of Arlington, Allen Lacy and wife Veronica of Houston, Justin Lacy and spouse Matthew of Denver, Colorado, Dillon Holt of Mesa, Arizona and Nicole Zaragoza of Ft Worth; four grandchildren, Devin, Reagan, Bethany, and Adam; two sisters, Alana Nowell and Lauren Lacy; and sister-in-law Sandra Lacy.
Funeral service for Ralph is scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at East Point Missionary Baptist Church with Brother James Scott officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time, beginning at 9:00 AM. Graveside service will take place at 2:00 PM Wednesday, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Mabank.
Serving as pallbearers are Allen Lacy, Dillon Holt, Justin Lacy, and Pancho Benavides.
“How lucky we are to have had someone who makes saying goodbye so hard.”
