Roger Edwin Henson

Roger Edwin Henson, 76, of Quitman, passed away on April 1, 2025.

Roger was born on May 24, 1948, in Brownfield Texas to parents Joe and Esther Ruth Henson. He attended high school at Peacock Military Academy and graduated in 1969. After high school, he joined the US Navy where he served in Vietnam and earned two purple hearts and bronze star. Roger served his country proudly. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years and enjoyed fixing cars. He loved spending time with his family, being outdoors, and being a grandpa. He was also a member of Calvary of Baptist Church.

Roger is preceded by parents Joe and Esther Henson; brothers Guy Henson and Ricky Henson; and sister Linda Hamilton.

He is survived by brother Randy Henson; children Stacy, Melissa, Roger Fayne, Suzane; grandchildren Christian, Victoria, Kimzie, Kaycee and Riley; great grandchildren Fallyn, Rosemary, and Layla; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service for Roger will be held at a later date. Information about the service will be posted when made available.
