Sam Luna St. Romain, 81, of Quitman, passed away on January 21, 2025, in Lindale, Texas.

He was born on September 19, 1943, in Lubbock, Texas, to Pierre Wilman and Mary Josephine Luna St. Romain.

Sam graduated high school and completed two years of college. A proud veteran, he served his country in the United States Army. In 1982, he moved to the Wood County area, where he lived for the rest of his life.

On May 24, 1997, he married the love of his life, Sandra Lee Carroll, and together they shared 27 wonderful years of marriage.

Sam loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, ranching, and raising cattle and chickens. Some of his happiest moments were spent hunting with his grandchildren and his son. A man who embraced life with joy and determination, Sam was a successful rancher, business owner, and a devoted father to three children.
