Willie Washington Jr.

Willie Washington Jr. passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 63. 

Willie was born July 9, 1960, in Dallas, Texas to Willie Washington Sr. and Juanita Washington. His education began at Charles Rice in Dallas, Texas, and later at Quitman High School.  Willie was a skilled self-mechanic when it came to auto and motorcycle repairs. In addition to his love for mechanics, Willie was also a dedicated truck driver. 

He had a warm and welcoming personality, and his presence will be sorely missed by his family and friends.  Although he may no longer be with us, Willie's spirit will live on in the hearts of all those he touched.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Willie and Juanita Washington; two sisters, four brothers, and one grandson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his two sons, LaQuintin Washington and his mother Shirley Washington, and Devonte Washington and his mother Connie Collins; his aunt Anna of Arkansas; brothers, Ronnie and Bobby, both of Quitman, and Gregory and Robert Earl, both of Dallas; sisters, Alberta, MaryAnn, Debra, Lashun, and Sheila, all of Dallas; and six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Funeral services and ceremonies to honor Willie's life will be held at Lowe-Gardner Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Muddy Creek Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends during visitation one hour before the service, beginning at 10:00 AM.
