Funeral services for Zadie Mae Bettis, 96 Quitman are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 14, 2014, Living Waters Fellowship, FM 2088 East of Quitman with Reverend David Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends (10:00 A.M.) 1 hr. prior to service time at the church. Zadie was born June 21, 1917 in Haskell, TX to Henry Wiley and Zadie Mae Thomas Smith. She was an Licensed Vocational Nurse and a Methodist. She is preceded by her parents; her husband, Jack Bettis, Sr. in 1991 and 1 daughter, Martha Jo Bland in 2005.

She is survived by 1 son, Jack A. Bettis, Jr., Rupert, Idaho; 1 daughter, Hazel B. Jones, Quitman, TX.; 4 brothers, Don Smith, Denton, Tx, Hugh Smith, Burleson, Tx, Fred Smith, Mineral Wells, TX, David Smith, Seattle, Washington; 2 sisters, Margaret Smith, Waco, Tx., Myrtle Pate, Princeton, Tx.; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
